Vtg. Brass/Velvet Heart-Shaped Trinket /Music box Sankyo Japan

This is a vintage Japanese brass heart-shaped music trinket box.( marked on the bottom JAPAN )
The top is velvet with a beautiful cameo with lovely brass framing.
The box has intricate etching of brass showing it"s Victorian roots of design.
The heart-shaped box has 3 sturdy brass feet and is 3" wide overall and 2' deep.
Do to usage, the hinge has broken in the back however the top set on top very easily.
The music mechanism key ( marked Sankyo" ) has been over wound but will play a little of "Endless Love".
The lining, velvet inside, still is intact but worn on the top edging of the box.
This is a beautiful specimen of earlier times in history!!
