Beautiful vintage Japanese lacquer musical jewelry box with Mother of Pearl Abalone inlay It is a deep red lacquer with some black undertones, so it has hidden pictures and very hard to show in photos. All sides have different scenic landscapes. It is 9" across x 4.25" tall and 5" deep. Inside has s a 4 panel mirror with 2 dancing figures - in front of them is a lidded compartment - on the left is 2 open compartments with a silk brocade fabric background. open compartment. The  music box works fine and plays On The Street Where You Live from My Fair Lady, shuts off when top is closed. Beautiful clean condition with no chips or cracks, just noticed one small chip on the lacquer on the back left edge, see the last few photos. It has a stamp on the bottom Made in Japan A Sterling Product.  Fabulous vintage jewel/music box.
