The troops of the 3rd Ukrainian Front, having repulsed the attacks of eleven German tank divisions southwest of Budapest and exhausted them in defensive battles, then went on the offensive, defeated the German tank group and advanced 70 kilometers along a front stretching more than 100 kilometers.
During the offensive, our troops captured the cities of Szekesfehervar, Mor, Zirez, Veszprem, Enying, and also occupied more than 350 other settlements.
The troops of the front in these battles captured more than 6,000 enemy soldiers and officers, destroyed and captured 745 tanks and self-propelled guns, over 800 guns and many other weapons and military property.
