Offering this ORNATE Vintage Japan ABALONE Inlaid Black Lacquer JEWELRY & MUSIC BOX!
This box consists of black lacquer with hand painted pagodas, sail boats, trees, and Mount Fuji.
The top has an inlay of abalone shell.
The inside mirror is a hand painted scene of a lady in a rickshaw.
There are two top compartments that  open with tassel handles.
The bottom has a large compartment with a small ring section.
It is lined in ribbed blue velvet.
The box is footed.
The music box works and plays nicely.
The bottom is is stamped Made In Japan with a S in a circle.

CONDITION:
The condition is near excellent for the age.
There are no chips in the lacquer on the outside, very little paint wear on the edges.
The inside of lid has two small chips
but can't be seen from outside.
Nothing to deter it from its use or value.
The mirror is excellent with no chips or cracks.
