Japanese Wood Jewelry Box Trinket Box Figures Working Asian House Trees Antique

Description

A beautiful antique Japanese wooden jewelry box trinket box.  Nice designs on the lid and sides.  The lid details figures cooking, a figure getting water in buckets, cherry blossom tree, other nature.  Sides depict two people sitting on the ground, another arranging flowers, a figure working with tools, another figure carrying buckets, a figure washing laundry, one working, a figure on a bench, figure with fan, one with a sword, there are trees, vases, flowers, Asian houses along the scenery.  Approx 8-3/4" X 6-1/4", approx 3-3/4" in height, approx 3" depth, approx8-1/2" X 6" without lid, approx 8-3/4" X 6-1/4" across bottom.  Made of a pressed wood.  There are signs of age/use/wear.  The hinge is not attached only the metal remains on the bottom.  The hinge area on the top split off some of the particle wood is missing.  A chip in the corner.  A few other chips in the wood.  There is some color fade/loss in areas.  A few scratches, scuffs, dings, dents, wear and tear.  All shown in pictures.  A beautiful antique wooden box.  Sold as is.
