    Description

Offered here are two vintage porcelain dresser boxes – they are 3-3/4” in diameter and 1-7/8” tall.  The boxes are trimmed with 24K gold edges and the top design is called “Art of Chokin” with design of hummingbird gathering nectar.   The images are created by etching pure copper and then gilding with silver and gold.  The engravings were originally created to decorate the armament of Samurai warriors.  This art form was handed down for over eight hundred years.  There is one black box, one white box and although there is some pitting (from poor storage) on each of the lids, they are in good, used condition.
